Our goal is to provide you with a float trip that you will not soon forget. I have been fly fishing for trout for nearly two decades and have been rowing a drift boat and raft for the last 5 seasons. I would love to share a day on the river with anyone who is interested in seeing the Androscoggin, Kennebec, Saco or Ossipee River. If small trout pond fishing, or fishing small streams for natives is more your style, that is something I offer as well.
If you have never fly fished before or if you are a veteran of many tight lined battles, let me show you the rivers I have grown to love from the comfort of my Clackacraft drift boat, or Aire fishing raft (canoes and aluminum boat also available for pond fishing).
The Seasons
Spring and fall are traditionally the best times of the year for trout fishing, but morning and evenings can be productive throughout the summer. The smallmouth bass fishing is good throughout the summer as well. I will be offering float trips from April or as soon as the fishing picks up, all the way through the fall.
The Fish
I focus on Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout, but there are also great opportunities to get into good smallmouth bass fishing on the rivers. Most of the trout we catch will be stocked fish but there are holdovers and populations of wild fish that are living and reproducing in the rivers year round. Fish average from 10 to 14 inches, though 15-20 inch rainbows and browns are not uncommon, with the possibility of 20+ inch fish as well.
Would like to take a drift trip this week April 30-May 5
